Was outside taking some pictures with visitors this afternoon. Before they came I got these nice shots of #52, Spring's ram lamb. He is a large lamb and very friendly.
Here I am with this teeny tiny ewe lamb born yesterday. We are naming her Jeanette.
No, his sire is Big Don, son of McDreamy from last year's lambs. I only used McDreamy on 2 ewes this year. One the same repeat which gave me Big Don (xLacey) and one with my large Barbados, Bette Davis. I wanted to see what his son Big Don would produce as he has better horns than his sire.
I am a breeder of Polish Tatra Sheepdogs, a rare breed. I keep a flock of registered Shetland sheep. In 2008 we added laying hens to the farm. 2009 brought the first attempt at a garden and it's successful so far!
I take it Hunter is NOT the sire?! He sure has pretty fleece...
